LOOP is a project funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) through the Italian Fund for Science (FIS 2).

LOOP targets direct photo-reductive cleavage of C-F bond in environmental conditions to enable the complete mineralization of all Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) into reusable fluoride with zero energy and atom consumption.

LOOP is leaded by Paola Lova and runs at the Deparment of Chemistry and Insudtrial Chemisty of the Univesity of Genova.
